We are committed to working with you to be sure that you understand your financial responsibility for the services provided by Oncology Hematology Care.
Depending on whether you have insurance, and the extent of your coverage, you may be asked to make a payment at the time of your visit. We suggest that you contact your health insurance provider before your appointment to verify benefits and coverage and to confirm that your Oncology Hematology Care physician is a participating provider.
Insurance Providers
Oncology Hematology Care is a participating provider with Medicare and most insurance plans. Contact OHC or your insurance carrier if you have any questions or to confirm network participation.
Drug Co-Payment Assistance Programs
Many drug companies have programs to assist patients in meeting the financial obligation they incur when receiving certain drugs. These programs will typically pay a portion of the co-payment, deductible, or out-of-pocket amount that is the patient’s responsibility once his/her insurance has paid.
To be eligible for this particular type of assistance, a patient must have commercial insurance (not Medicare or Medicaid). Additionally, some programs also have income requirements that must be met.
Some common drugs that assistance is currently available for include Herceptin, Avastin, Rituxan, Neulasta, Neupogen, Zometa, Xgeva, and N-plate. New drugs are added frequently so be sure to check with your Financial Counselor to see if there are any assistance programs that you might qualify for.
At OHC we believe in caring for your physical health along with your financial health. These programs provide us with a meaningful way to do so. For more information about how OHC can assist you with these programs, and to see if you qualify, please speak with one of our Financial Counselors by calling 513-751-CARE (2273), or e-mail them by clicking here.
